LGBTQymru Mag Launch| Wales |Queer News

Our next exciting project is Wales’ first ever online bilingual queer magazine for our community, by our community.

We’ve been patiently waiting to come out and share the next LGBTQymru chapter with you all, and here it is.

We decided a long time ago that we were going to continue to provide an online space in which we can support, celebrate, and connect the LGBTQommunities of Wales.

So what can you expect?

A free, quarterly magazine that covers the life, stories, and topics of the LGBTQommunities within Wales through four key themes:

🌈 Lifestyle
🌈 Community
🌈 Health and well-being
🌈 Culture

Just like the Wales Wide Virtual Pride, we will make it a priority to make the content truly representative of the stories, experiences, and reality of all LGBTQommunites within Wales – in fact, that’s why we’re doing it!

Issue One’s launch date will be coming soon, of course. But we also have a number of ways you can get involved now.

Watch our website here.

If you want to be part of LGBTQymru’s evolution, have a passion for making a positive difference. Love working with others, and are able to dedicate time to building a platform to support, celebrate, and connect the LGBTQommunites in Wales, then we’d love to hear from you.

We are especially looking for someone who can support our online presence and engage with our followers. You should have a good understanding of social media and how effective it can be used to generate interest, and promote us across a range of platforms.

So if you have experience using Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to effectively make a difference, please get in touch.

Come be part of our team to let us know your ideas and even provide content too if you wish.

We anticipate that a commitment of no more than a couple of hours per week will be required – and a little more as we get closer to our quarterly publication.

We are especially keen to hear from people of colour, trans and non-binary folk and people with disabilities to better reflect the community we serve.
If you’re part of Wales’ LGBTQommunities and interested in joining us, please complete our application form here.

LGBTQymru are a collective of passionate, and respected activists, and allies, dedicated to keeping our Qmmunity cohesive and connected.
Formed during the Corona Virus pandemic, their first project was the inaugural Wales Wide Virtual Pride. The event celebrated the whole of our community across the whole of our country, and brought together all those living the LGBTQ+ life, in Wales.

LGBTQymru is a not for profit organisation, with all funds or sponsorship raised, given back to our community directly. Nearly £4,000 was donated to Glitter Cymru, Keshet, Valleys Pride, Rhondda Pride, Hidayah, and Unique after the July event.

The Qmmittee work with a whole range of established, and grass roots organisations, to ensure our work amplifies and truly represents the voices of all within Wales.

Find out more about our free quarterly queer magazine by following us on INSTAGRAM| FACEBOOK | TWITTER. The LGBTQymru Team can also be contacted direct at LGBTQymru @outlook.com.

Following the success of Wales Wide Virtual Pride, LGBTQymru are delighted to keep on keeping our Qmmunity connected – so watch this space!

I’m super proud to be involved.

Speak soon.
