Good Luck Cadstock | Vale | Update

Phew, panic over then as Cadstock finally confirms its much-waited return to Victoria Park this Summer.

Our free, friendly, free fully-inclusive, family Music Festival, is back with a bang on Saturday and Sunday 13th and 14th July 2024.

Thank you Barry Town Council for your considerable generosity in making this happen

Just like 2023, you have played a blinder keeping Cadstock Alive – not only this year but for future years too. Respect.

So a warm welcome to our Barry Town Council Free Live Music event in partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council, the Friends of Victoria Park and the Cadstock Organising Committee.

For me, Cadstock is a crucial date in our ever-decreasing Community Calendar.

It provides a free weekend of music for all to enjoy, it’s relaxed, family-friendly.

And, most importantly, rocks Barry’s East End for two days. A rarity on that side of the tracks but much-needed to bring that, and the wider community together.

But that’s not the only change.

It’s now time for me, and fellow Committee Members, Mr Cadstock John Greatrex, Andrew Farmer, Karl Webb, to step back.

Truth be told, pulling off Cadstock in a voluntary role has been a tough gig on times. I am proud that we have worked tirelessly to bring you the event and humbled by all the support you have given.

Special mention and thanks here also to John Peter Lewis who passed away last year. For many years, JPL Sounds were instrumental in Cadstock’s success.

So, with a new partnership, and a new team raring to go I’ll see you by the Bandstand soon.

We are so proud of how Cadstock has grown from very humble beginnings into the fantastic festival it is now.

So, see you by the Bandstand.

Our work here is done.
