Vote Cadstock | Vale | News

Cadstock, Barry’s only free, for all, family-friendly, Festival needs your votes to boost the coffers.

The popular event will now feature in the Asda Green Token Community Scheme.

And you can vote for your favourite Barry Weekender, not just once but every week, using the link below:

(Selecting Barry from the drop down menu).

Don’t forget it’s ‘Friends of Victoria Park’ that you’re looking for – the umbrella under which Cadstock falls.

The site went live at 1 minute past midnight tonight (Saturday 1st October) and voting will close when the fireworks go off and everyone starts singing Auld Lang Syne at midnight on Saturday 31st December 2022.

Cadstock is one of the focal points of the Barry calendar, almost trebling in size since it began in 2009, with 2019’s decade celebration one of the biggest and bestest events the town has ever seen.

In 2022, after a long two-year music drought, the event came back with a bang bringing us Barrians a weekender with something for everyone from ska to soft rock, mod to metal – and some sweet soul music too.

Many of the 2022 line up played at the cracking Keep Cadstock Alive Fundraiser at Barry Island Social Club on February 1st 2019, and the fabulous funds raised helped stage the show.

Hosted by the Vale of Glamorgan Parks Department plus the Friends of Victoria Park, Cadstock is very much driven by local man Jonathan Greatrex.

Based on the Woodstock vibe, the weekender is free, flexible, for all, and family-friendly too. All ages are welcome, and there are absolutely no restrictions on bringing in your own food and drink.

Please help us keep the ethos of the event going by voting for us as often as you can.

Good Luck Cadstockers!
