Stonehouse, the well-loved local lads who play covers in their own indomitable way are well-up for the Keep Cadstock Alive Fundraiser early next year.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll band that plays loads of cool tunes by bands like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Doors, and AC/DC will take to the Savoy stage on February 1st 2020.

The Benefit Gig is being organised to raise cash to keep Cadstock, the annual Victoria Park music weekender, free for all.

Founded in 2013, Stonehouse play to packed out audiences all over Wales.

The band consist of Adam Sargent on vocals and harmonica, Joe Wyatt on guitar and vocals, David Parker on bass and Wes Doheny on drums.

Adam said: “We think it’s brilliant that the community, including the musical community, are coming together to support and raise funds to help Cadstock continue. It’s a fantastic, free event that’s top of most people’s Summer events in Barry and long may it continue!

With the line-up of bands and acts for the fund-raiser there is definitely something for everyone……it’s going to be a cracking night. See you there!”

Stonehouse, will be joined by the enigmatic Black Jam Circus, the Modtastic Second Chance, Him and Me, Falling From Grace, and Ben Nicolas.

Bro Radio’s Dean Caldwell will host with his colleague Nathan Spackman as DJ. Raffle prizes are flooding in, Scott Walter, owner of SW Flooring will be master of the Auction, and the trusty Dean Snooks will be on hand to cover security.

Tickets, priced just £6, are available at The Butterfly Collector, The Savoy, The Barry Music Shop, through the Cadstock facebook page or by calling KWEBB events on 07746514901.

All proceeds will go to the #KeepCadstockAlive Campaign, to ensure the event hosted by the Vale of Glamorgan Parks Department plus the Friends of Victoria Park, and very much driven by local man Jonathan Greatrex, remains free.

Jonathan said: “So many thanks to Black Jam Circus, and all the other bands for signing up for the Fundraiser.

The absolute ethos of Cadstock, which takes place on July 18th and 19th next year, is that it is a free, family-friendly, and, for everyone.

So if all us hundreds of music lovers who attend each year, or even those who just pop in now and again, could please come along and support this great night that would be brilliant.”

Dedicated gig goers who fancy a quick drink before heading to the venue, can nip in to the The Butterfly Collector just down the road.

Owner Gareth Slattery is now selling special Cadstock Cask Ale – a delicious a grapefruit infused potion that sees 10p from every pint go to the Keep Cadstock Alive Campaign.

Also, following the success of last year’s Anniversary T- Shirts, Cadstockers can also show their support for our favourite free music festival by getting one of the Cadstock beauties on your bod!

Priced at £10, they are special order so please call 01446 736056 or order on line here.

Every Tee and Vest sold will help keep Cadstock going strong, so please dig deep.

And you can always show off your purchase at a planned at ‘Carry on Cadstock, the planned 2020 After Party’ too – watch this space.

Please also contact the Cadstock fb page if you can help in any other way

Jonathan added: “Events like this are the backbone of our Barry’s community life so let’s keep our free, family-friendly, fun Cadstock alive for everyone.
