I’m Sue Vincent-Jones, writing as Mrs SVJ, a Barry born and bred blogger, author, and (gig) girl about town.
Please do get in touch if you have any news, views, campaign, controversies, businesses or ventures you’d like me to take a look at – guest bloggers are also very welcome too.
I can also be contacted at email@example.com, and on 07557502258.
A qualified journalist and former Barry and District News, and Penarth Times, Editor, I am one of the town’s most voracious supporters, and proudest residents.
Infamous for my much loved long-running weekly newspaper comment column ‘Sue’s View’, which I recently revived, I am now a government communications specialist by day and a blogger by night.
I adore blogging about all things Barry – and beyond…but always through the edgy lens of a, a quirky and queer, local girl done good.
My Comment blogs will be my reflections of the communities I move in.
Sue’s View will focus on my life in our beautiful Barry – the good, the bad, the ugly, and the hot topics in our town.
Queer Sphere will wax lyrical about life with my LGBT family – the places we go, the difference we make, and the issues we face.
Out of Town will show that there is life beyond Barry – the Gigs I go to, the films I watch, the Theatre I enjoy, and all through the lens of a local Girl done good.
My Campaign, and Community pieces will shine the editorial spotlight on those friends, fighters, and kick ass campaigners who have have the faith that we can really make that crucial difference in this world.
My Collections will highlight the many other talented writers, journos and bloggers we have in our town, and around – watch this space.
A proud Mum, I live in the West End of the town with my son and an extensive record collection. I also regularly travel to London to spend time with my daughter who is living and working in the city.
