Cash In The Attic | Wales | My Corona Virus Diary

Well, one thing this crazy Coronocoaster has shown me is that after years of wanting to clean my house and not having the time…I found out that wasn’t the reason!

I’m not going to lie to you, I had absolutely no deep desire to battle further with the bleach, or scrub up a secondary sweat, whilst home schooling a kid from College for six straight months.

All that constant cleaning, cooking, and child care was like being a 1950’s housewife – and there’s no way I wanted more of that.

But after a quiet, cwtchy, Christmas, a nice, neat New Year, and an anticipated slow start 2021 that may see us in this queer quarantine until Summer, I’ve finally attacked the Attic.

So clinging to my camera I have at last climbed the ladder of Lockdown straight into a treasure trove of stuff I’ve shoved up over the many months…and completely forgotten about.

And wow, those pre-pandemic years of trips, treats, and travel, certainly saw me splash out – sometimes on stuff twice because I forgot I’d bought it!

Not like I’m going to wear much of it though is it, as my crazy Covid-19 routine involves moving from the kitchen to sofa and then up the wooden stairs to nights of Netflix and Chill.

In fact, I’ve spent most of the last nine months either power suited and booted for the office looking like I’m going for an interview everyday, or in my scruffiest Trackie, tattiest T shirt and faithful Birkenstocks looking like I’m homeless – there’s just no in between.

Well, it’s all about balance these days isn’t it?

Was really undecided what to wear to the Living Room on December 31 actually – such a dilemma I nearly didn’t go.

But New Year’s Day did see me, in said Adidas number, taking the time to tackle the style pile, swiftly avoid aggressive eBay, start selling local, and give something back to the community that I love to live in.

And in the spirit of Pay It Forward, I am going to get the gear gone, whilst also deciding to donate a proceed of the profits to a local charity of my choice…which I will publicise of course.

Truth be told, this mainly because I tidied everywhere else, there may be some quick cash in it, and I need the space for our revamp later in the year.

Please feel free to have a look through the lot from mssvj008 on the good old eBay.

I’ve started with shoes.

Anything you fancy…

Speak soon.
